International corporate travel services company HRG UK was last night (4 December) honoured in the prestigious Buying Business Travel Awards 2009, being voted Best Business Travel Management Company (turnover above £100m) – the fourth time the company has secured the title since the awards were launched in 2003.
Two of HRG UK’s key clients also received tributes in the awards: Business Travel Buyer of the Year was awarded to Trish Kirke of BG Group, whilst Nasreen Bhana of PwC was named Business Travel Arranger of the Year.
Ian Windsor, Managing Director of HRG UK, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for HRG UK. I am very proud of our employees and thank them all for their continued dedication and commitment to service excellence which has resulted in this latest award.”
He continued: “I would like to congratulate the other winners, particularly those from BG Group and PwC, who were also honoured by their industry peers and partners.”
Leading corporate travel trade publication Buying Business Travel’s annual Diamond Awards celebrate outstanding quality and performance within the industry. The awards represent the views of the industry’s most important customers – those who are responsible for securing the best service and value.
Initial nominations for the Diamond Awards are sought from a panel of industry experts and a team of leading business travel journalists. Buying Business Travel readers are then invited to vote, both via the magazine and online, with scope to add their own nominations as appropriate. The final awards are kept a closely guarded secret and announced at the awards dinner which this year was held at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club.
