International corporate travel services company Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has today announced the appointment of Ian Windsor as Managing Director HRG UK with effect from 1 October 2008.
Ian, who will report into Kevin Ruffles, President Europe & AsPac, will take over from current Managing Director UK, Peter Kite, who is taking up a new Group-wide role as Director of Supplier Partnerships and Industry Affairs. In addition to his responsibilities for the management of the UK business, Ian will retain the direction for multi-national client services across Europe.
Ian’s career with HRG began in 1976 as a trainee and he has held various roles including Business Travel Consultant and Head of Client Services in the UK. In 2006 Ian was appointed Operations Director for Europe and was promoted the following year to his current role, Managing Director European Multinational Services.

Having been with the company for more than 30 years, Ian has developed an excellent track record. He has a sound operational background in both the UK and Europe and a first class understanding of clients’ requirements.”
Peter joined HRG as a Business Travel Consultant in 1969 and has enjoyed various management roles within the Company including Director of Client Services UK before taking his current position as Managing Director UK. In recognising Peter’s successful contribution to HRG to date, Ruffles added: “I want to sincerely thank Peter for his absolute dedication to HRG. In his 40 years with us he has been a great motivator and people manager and has been instrumental in HRG’s successful development both in UK and Europe. He is a great ambassador for the Company and we wish him all the very best for his new role in industry relations.”
